RE:  Increase public access to Raystown Lake

I would like your assistance in informing and encouraging the US Army Corps of Engineers to make available more public access locations on Raystown Lake, Huntingdon County, Pa. An excellent opportunity exits on the northeastern shore of the lake at the Hawn’s Bridge Peninsula to build a public recreation area. This is an excellent access point for the general public due to its proximity to the towns of Huntingdon and Mt. Union and the possibility that the private sector could bear the expense of developing this area for the public to enjoy.

New access areas to the lake are desperately needed when you consider that Raystown Lake, the largest lake contained in Pennsylvania, provides recreation to thousands of tourists and local residents yearly. Please consider this request and make available the USACE-managed land at Hawn’s Bridge peninsula to the PUBLIC!

With Regards,
